Terms of service

1. Access

Access is granted per organisation and per named user. Credentials are personal and must not be shared. You are responsible for activity under your account, and for telling us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.

2. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to re-identify any individual from a cohort, an aggregate, or a verbatim quote. This is the single prohibition we treat as non-negotiable.
• Do not use the platform to profile, target, or make adverse decisions about a specific named person.
• Do not use outputs to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals — credit, employment, housing, insurance, or access to services.
• Do not scrape, bulk-export, or attempt to reconstruct the underlying data through the interface or the API.
• Do not represent simulated output as the statements of real, identified people.

3. What the output is

Study results are model-generated estimates conditioned on observed aggregates. They are not survey responses, not statements by real people, and not a prediction we warrant to be correct. Confidence intervals shown in a study describe sampling variation across draws only; they do not quantify whether the cohort model matches reality.

You are responsible for decisions you make using the platform. Nothing here is legal, financial, medical, or investment advice.

4. Intellectual property

You retain everything you put in: your stimuli, questions, and study configuration. We retain the platform, the cohort construction pipeline, and the compiled cohort catalog. Study results are yours to use within your organisation. Republishing cohort packs or the catalog itself requires written permission.

5. Availability

During limited access we make no uptime commitment. We will give notice of planned maintenance where we can, and we will not silently change how cohorts are constructed without saying so — methodology changes are announced because they invalidate comparisons with earlier studies.

6. Termination

Either side may end access at any time. On termination your account data is deleted within 30 days; audit log entries recording privileged actions are retained for the period stated in the privacy policy. We will terminate immediately for any attempt at re-identification.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including decisions taken on the basis of simulated output.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
